Wow, I have to take another breathe. I almost can't believe that past three days are over and that life is just going on. That's just some thing about me, I can't say goodbye to beautiful or amazing happenings. I only want them to continue endlessly, but I guess that's not what reality's about. Well, if I have to describe my trip to Lille, Oostende and Antwerpen I can only use one word:
indescribable. Okay, that kind of sounds like a paradox. Try to figure it out then ;)
I had the most amazing time there, and I'm so impressed by all the things I've seen. I'm also thankful to my friends, some of them joined the trip and we had the most amazing time together. I don't think I'd know what to do without them! Hmm ... The photographs took me hours, but I'm really happy with them because they totally show how the journey looked like.
The first day we drove 2 1/2 hours to get in Lille. We went to a youth hostel and believe me, you've never been in a worse place ever. It was disgusting out there, and our sheets weren't even clean. Happily we only had to sleep here for 1 night. We ate something at a Egyptian restaurant and after that we went back to the hostel. The second day we went to the museum of Modern art in Lille. After this the bus took us to Oostende. I'd never been there before, but it's an amazing place! It's a cute coast city with all these beach shops and nice restaurants. Here we had to stay in another hostel, but this one was waaayy better. The next day I heard there had been a fight between boys of our school and boys who lived in the city itself. And when I came out of the hostel I saw a lot of food lying in front of the entrance. I wonder if we're ever allowed to come back again ... I made photos at the beach, and I really enjoyed feeling the sea wind going through my hair. It was really cold, but I didn't even feel it. After that we went to the photography museum in Antwerpen. That was kind of a downer actually, I expected more, especially because of the fact that I just love photography. We didn't have the time to go shopping anymore (that didn't matter anyway because we'd had a lot of time in Lille) so we went back home. I'm exhausted, but it was all really worth it. Here are the pictures, hopefully you enjoy them as much as I do.
